As business owners, we proudly stand on the shoulders of our ancestors, those brave souls who fought tirelessly for freedom and equality. Today, on this Juneteenth, we, two passionate female Black business owners and the authors behind MoeHill Mavens, want to take a moment to honor their sacrifices and express our heartfelt gratitude.

Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day, marks a pivotal moment in history—the day when news of the emancipation proclamation finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865. It stands as a powerful symbol of hope, resilience, and the unyielding spirit that defines us all.

Together, we embark on this entrepreneurial journey, knowing full well that our success is built upon the foundation laid by those who came before us.
